JAMES VALENTINO

James is a passionate dancer and instructor in the Detroit community. Having grown up in the city, he feels a strong commitment to the area. Coming from a hip hop background, James made his way to ballroom dance and finally Argentine Tango.

He opened his own dance studio City Style Tango in 2010 and continues to grow and improve. City Style Tango recently moved to a new, larger location in Troy, MI. James is a certified Argentine Tango instructor (thru DVIDA).

Although he specializes in the Argentine Tango, he is an experienced ballroom and salsa/bachata instructor. He has competed in the USA Tango Championships in San Francisco (2015), multiple Pro/Am Dance competitions as well as local “Dancing with the Stars” competitions.
